He Puna Manawa

Est. 2022.  Formerly Goddards Centre (1992-2022). Now home to Tauranga City Library (est. 1871) and Tauranga City Council Customer Service Centre.  On 8 April 1871 a meeting was held to establish the Tauranga Library and Mechanic's Institute. Since then the library has undergone many transformations, the most recent beings it’s relocation to the former Goddards Centre. Developed in 1992, the Goddards Centre was extensively refurbished in 2004, and again in 2008. It provides a pedestrian thoroughfare connecting Devonport Road and Grey Street.
