Tauranga Railway Shed

Est. 1927.  Railway Wharf Shed | No. 1 Cargo Shed.  The Railway Wharf Shed for receiving, handling, sorting and dispatching goods was built adjacent to the Tauranga Railway Wharf. The verandah on the western side meant that goods could be loaded and unloaded under cover during all kinds of weather. Today the shed and land are owned in equal shares by the Ōtamataha Trust and Tauranga City Council and jointly managed through the Dive Crescent Governance Group.
