Northern Star Building

Est. 1934.  Built by Swedish born builder Karl Evald Johanson this substantial two-storied stripped Classical style building has 10 fluted pilasters standing out from the façade which are topped with traditional Corinthian capitals. Between each set of pilasters is a recess containing a window and above each of the nine windows is a smaller version of the simple horizontal curved cornice above.
