Est. 2020. Historic Places Category 2. Formerly Hotel St Amand (est. 1956). Lundon and Conway originally operated their timber yard from this location. In 1876 Conway built the two-story timber Commercial Hotel which was reduced to ashes during the 1916 Strand Fire. The replacement ‘fireproof’ two-story hotel had a full-width balcony and ornamental cast iron column. In 1956 the name was changed to Saint Amand, patron saint of bartenders and innkeepers. In 2020 the hotel was refurbished and opened as Wanderlust NZ.
